Lost Words Wednesday – OMG

Evening readers!

I cannot contain my excitement… (mentally jumping around like a crazy person!!) I need a bit of self-control I think, I had to force myself not to clear out the secondhand shops this week! So many super AWESOME finds!! I could of quite easily filled my bookshelf…. but then my Lost Words Wednesdays would come to an end, so I held back, just for you guys 🙂

I have come to realise that Lost Words will, eventually have to end, so I’ve been having a good think of what to blog about next….. With college coming to an end in June I find myself wondering, what’s next? But for that knowledge, you’ll have to stick around! 😉

Anyway back to Lost Words.

My Super Awesome Finds-

AMAZING, right??

Me Before You:

A few facts:

Author: Jojo Moyes

Genre: Adult Novel, Realistic fiction

Published: 5th January 2012

Publisher: Penguin Books

Followed by: After You

Adding this beauty to my list of “Books to read when I need a good cry!”. Having not read the book but watched the film. The film was beautiful, I loved it…. even though it made my heart break into a million pieces! Such a touching story with a giggle. I love how vibrant Lou Clark is, she’s perfect. I shall be on the look out for the sequel.

A few facts:

Author: Cynthia Hand

Genre: Urban Fantasy, Young Adult, Novel

Publisher: HarperCollins

Published: 4th January 2011

Followed by: Hallowed, Boundless

“A mesmerising story of destiny, supernatural powers, forbidden romance and an impossible choice”.

Sounds pretty good, although my first thoughts are “not another fallen angel one”, I’m still intrigued, a sucker for punishment! Plus I’m being naughty and ‘judging a book by its cover’ because it’s beautiful…. Hopefully, it’s as good as it looks.

The Dark Heroine:

A few facts:

Author: Abigail Gibbs

Genre: Fantasy

Publisher: HarperCollins

Published: 2012

Followed by: Autumn Rose

Ok, so this one has me torn…. after a bit of research I’ve learnt that there is a second book but it is from the Point of view of Autumn Rose, which isn’t the main character from the first book. Also, the 3rd book was set to be realised in 2015 and has yet to be, so I’m rather concerned about reading this because if I fall head over heals for it but am left with an unfinished series…. I may have a meltdown!!

House of Night Series:

A few Facts:

Author: P.C and Kristin Cast

Genre: Romance, Fantasy, Young Adult fiction

Publisher: St. Martin’s Press, Atom/Little Brown(in UK)

Published: 2007-2014

  1. Marked
  2. Betrayed
  3. Chosen
  4. Untamed
  5. Hunted
  6. Tempted
  7. Burned
  8. Awakened
  9. Destined
  10. Hidden
  11. Revealed
  12. Redeemed

WOW, this is going to be a fun read!! EXCITED!

Well what can I say, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I spotted these all together on the shelf! 6 of the 12 book series in one go, YAY!

This is kind of cool too because a while ago my little sister binge read these beauties and highly recommended them. But what I remember the most about it, is the time she came running downstairs in floods of tears, red-faced and just really upset…. I panicked, wondering what on earth was going on when she turned to me and cried… “he’s deeeaaaad!!!” Quickly realising she was holding a book and hugged her tightly! The strain in her eyes was clear that “the house of night series” will be an emotional rollercoaster, and I can’t wait!!

Well, that’s it for today, I hope you like my finds, and if you like the sound of any of them follow the links to Amazon 🙂

P.S Before you go I’d just like to mention that I’ve updated my Portfolio on my blog and Would love to share my words with you, so please take a look and enjoy.

Happy reading
